The first entry in the blockbuster 'All's Well, Ends Well' series, this Lunar New Year comedy classic features an all-star cast including Maggie Cheung, Stephen Chow and Leslie Cheung. The free-wheeling story follows three adult brothers living together in their parents' home: the eldest, Moon (Raymond Wong), is a wealthy businessman on the cusp of leaving his put-upon wife Leng (Sandra Ng); the middle brother, Foon (Stephen Chow), is a smooth-talking radio DJ who falls for the movie-obsessed Holli-yuk (Maggie Cheung); and the youngest is So (Leslie Cheung), a dance teacher who is forever warring with his tough-as-nails cousin, Mo-seung (Teresa Mo). Romance, heartbreak and chaos abound in this raucous blend of slapstick, parody and farce.
This screening will be of the extended version of the film, recently restored in 4K.
